Photographer of the Year (POTY 1) competition 2021
Thursday 4th March 2021 was Round 1 of our Photographer of the year competition. We are still on Zoom so no prints but we have extended the digitals to 8 images 4 colour and 4 monochromes. The judge was Alfred Brown of South Manchester.
The colour section was won by Ian Greenhalgh with an image called “Autumn Stroll” scoring 20 points. There were a number of 19’s scored City Of Wells Approaching Summerseat Station by Steven Birds, Day dreaming by Alan Andrew, Hail in the Dales by Paul Adams, Ready for my close up by Heather Birds and Tree at Winskill Stones by Steve Riley.
The monochrome section was won by Andrew Kay with “Crown Engine Houses at Botallack” runners up were Penelope Pitstop visits Oulton Park and Perch Rock Lighthouse by Stephen Birds and another Perch Rock image by Ian Greenhalgh who also had aanother 19 with Winter Steam East Lancs Railway.
